Tuning the Vessel is the spring companion to Clearing the Vessel — the tuning that follows the autumn’s clearing. On a mountaintop in Boríken, held by ocean, waterfall, cacao, and the rose-heart of the mystic and Magdalene paths, we bring the cleared vessel into resonance with the Beloved — becoming clear channels for love, presence, and the medicine that moves through us.
By invitation, a few seats open the Helix Training Program cohort to this immersive retreat — a deep community dedicated to world-work and the whole human spirit, where spiritual formation and psychological development walk as one.
The clearer the vessel, the truer what flows through.
The world does not need more healers running on empty — nor simply full. It needs us clear: vessels that let Source move through them. We don’t only replenish our own stores; we become coherent with the Beloved, so that what flows through us arrives as nourishment. The vessel is the channel — and when the lens is clean, what pours through heals.

Yes, there is real practice — and there is also breath and pleasure, intuitive movement, sensory delight, joy and laughter, connection with the elements, and true community. In this spaciousness, what fills you settles into wholeness and widens your capacity to embody your soul fully — to let spirit animate you, speak to you, and guide you. You’ll leave more resourced, more transparent to your own depths, and a clearer channel for the medicine that moves through you — and for those you serve.

Casa Tortuga — the sea-turtle house — is a secluded, solar-powered sanctuary in the mountains of Añasco, on the ancestral land of Boríken. Its octagonal wooden home, built in the 1970s and shaped like a turtle’s shell, has weathered decades of island storms and carries a grounded strength you can feel. We gather here as guests of the land and its stewards, cared for by the local hands — cooks, artisans, and healers — who bring this place to life.

We hold the circle collectively
A holistic mystic and psychospiritual guide of primarily Scottish, Filipino, and African ancestry, with more than twenty years of tending work — inner-parts and shadow work, Jungian dreamwork, womb awakening, and energy medicine — built on one belief: that each of us can recover our innate wisdom in a field of safety and love.
A psychospiritual counselor, psychic medium, and ritualist who came to this work through the arts. A 2007 Helix graduate and Helix Healing Minister, he helps people turn pain into power and chaos into calm, with a warmth and humor shaped by fatherhood.
A seeker on the Sufi Path and co-founder of Bab Al Ilm, a community devoted to spirituality and self-awareness across traditions. A musician at heart, he weaves song and movement through his gatherings; through music, teaching, conversation, and the practices of remembrance, he creates spaces where something real can happen between people — guided by one question: what happens when we become present enough to truly see ourselves?
A Puerto Rican devotional culinary artist and ceremonialist who nourishes the circle with local, traditional food, holds the opening cacao ceremony, and guides us in crafting a sacred object to carry home.

Who is this for?
Practitioners and seekers already walking the path — counselors, coaches, healers, ministers, caregivers, and gifted laypeople — ready to lean into expansion: to embody the full potential of the ensouled human, refine the self for this moment in history, and take their place in the grid-work of living love. This gathering is offered by invitation to the Helix cohort and selected guests.
Is this therapy, a training, or a retreat?
A training — and it will feel like a retreat. You’ll do real personal work — that’s the point — and also learn the practices, so you leave with skills you can live by and bring to your clients.
How do I get there?
Casa Tortuga is in the western mountains of Puerto Rico — about 45 minutes from Aguadilla airport, or 2.5 hours from San Juan. We’ll help coordinate rides and airport taxis, and the exact address follows registration.
What should I know about the setting?
It’s a rustic-modern mountaintop villa, close to the elements, with natural terrain and stairs. There is no air conditioning (fans, breezes, and a saltwater pool keep it comfortable). If you have specific needs, reach out before booking.
What happens after I register?
You’ll receive a confirmation, an invitation to the participant group for travel and connection, and — closer to the retreat — a welcome note with pre-arrival practices, a local travel guide, and details.
