Clearing the Vessel
The gentle art of clearing what is not love — shadow work, restoration, and soft energy healing, held in the balm of presence.
We can only meet another as deeply as we have met ourselves.
Clearing the Vessel is three days of meeting yourself — the real, skilled work of clearing shadow, restoring the core self, and softening old grief, held in a field of love and taught as craft. Not catharsis for its own sake. Restoration — so that presence becomes something you can offer freely, in your life and in your work.
By invitation, a few seats open the Helix Training Program cohort to this immersive retreat — a deep community dedicated to world-work and the whole human spirit, where spiritual formation and psychological development walk as one.
This is the autumn movement of the Helix year: the clearing that makes room. In spring, in Tuning the Vessel, we bring it into resonance. First we clear the vessel with care — then it can hold what wants to flow through.
The world is not short on technique. It is short on presence.
Therapists, healers, teachers, and caregivers are asked to hold more than ever — often from their own unhealed places. Method can be learned in a weekend. But the capacity to stay — steady, open, unafraid — in the presence of another’s pain is built only by tending your own.
Clearing the Vessel is formation for that capacity: a small, rigorous, tenderly held training in the interior work that makes a practitioner trustworthy and a human being free. You will leave with practices you can live by and bring to those you serve — and with more of yourself intact.
A training, not a retreat — and never an ordeal.
Over three days you’ll practice the real skills of this work in a small, cohort-rooted circle. Not lectured — lived. Each practice is held in a field of love, with generous rest between, and everything you learn you can carry into your own life and offer to those you serve.

The practice is a living offering — subject to change as spirit wills.
The days move in waves — activating, then integrating.
Mornings for practice. Afternoons for deep rest — the sauna, the pond, the forest. Evenings for ceremony and fire. Arrive Friday afternoon in time to soak before we open; easing into the water is how we drop into the body together.
What you’ll be held by.

An intimate circle
Twelve guests at most, cohort-rooted, held without hierarchy.
Nourishment
Catered meals, tea, and refreshments — long, unhurried tables by the hearth.

Love as the ground
Restoring love in the places we were left loveless — that is the whole of it.
Held by forest, pond, and fire.

We hold the circle collectively
A holistic mystic and psychospiritual guide of primarily Scottish, Filipino, and African ancestry, with more than twenty years of tending work. She weaves inner-parts and somatic shadow work, Jungian dreamwork, womb awakening, and energy medicine into a practice built on one belief: that each of us can recover our innate wisdom in a field of safety and love. An ordained Helix minister and Womb Awakening teacher, she is also training to become a clinical supervisor of chaplains and spiritual caregivers. A lifelong learner, artist, and best-selling author, she lives in New Jersey on Lenni-Lenape land with her husband and two daughters, tending a happily wild garden.
A psychospiritual counselor, psychic medium, and ritualist who came to this work through the arts, after years as an animator, designer, and creative director. A 2007 Helix graduate and Helix Healing Minister, trained in womb awakening and trance mediumship, he helps people turn pain into power and chaos into calm, with a warmth and humor shaped by fatherhood. He believes healing is a shared adventure, and brings creativity, authenticity, and steadiness to every circle he holds.

Who is this for?
Practitioners — therapists, coaches, healers, bodyworkers, ministers, and caregivers — who want to deepen their own work so they can hold others more fully; and anyone on a healing path or at a threshold, ready for immersive inner work. No prior experience is required.
Is this therapy, or a training?
A training. You’ll do real personal work — that’s the point — but you’ll also learn the practices themselves, so you leave with skills you can live by and, if you work with others, bring to your clients.
Where is it, and how do I get there?
We gather at a private mountain house in the Green Mountains of Vermont, minutes from the Stratton Mountain access road — roughly a four-to-five-hour drive from the New York and New Jersey area. To protect the privacy of the home, we share the exact address and driving directions after you register. Most guests drive; we’ll help coordinate carpools and rides in the participant group.
What should I bring?
Comfortable layers, swimwear for the sauna and hot tub, a journal, a water bottle, and anything that helps you feel at home. A full packing list follows your registration.
Is the setting accessible?
Honestly, no — not in the ways that matter for many bodies. This is a multi-level mountain home with stairs between floors and no elevator, and the grounds are natural and uneven, with sloped paths down to the sauna and pond. It isn’t suited to wheelchair use, or to anyone for whom stairs and uneven ground are a barrier. We’d rather say so plainly, so you can choose what’s right for your body.
What happens after I register?
You’ll receive a confirmation, an invitation to the participant group for carpools and connection, and — closer to the weekend — a welcome note with pre-arrival practices and travel details.
